Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Last Updated: September 29, 2026
Venice Pest Control, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services, visit our website at https://www.veniceflpestcontrol.com, or interact with us by phone, email, SMS, or through our integrated third-party platforms.
By using our Services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal and technical information:
Personal Information Provided by You:
-
Full name, email address, and service address.
-
Phone number (specifically for service-related and promotional SMS).
-
Billing information (stored securely via PCI-compliant processors like Stripe).
-
Records of communications sent via forms, email, text, or phone. Phone calls may be recorded and transcribed (see “Call Recording” at the end of this section), and we keep any photos you send us.
Automatically Collected Information:
-
IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system.
-
Usage data including pages visited, time spent on site, and referring URLs.
-
Cookies and similar tracking technologies for site functionality and analytics.
-
Engagement information: whether you open or click the emails we send, click links in our texts and emails (including links to outside product sites in our prep guides), view pages we send you links to, and use our customer portal and mobile app (for example, when you last used it, which sections you view, and when you open the app from one of our notifications). We use this to know whether you received the information we sent and to improve our service. We do not sell it.
-
Anonymous, cookie-free statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits, and we count how far readers get through our articles (for example, how many reach the middle or the end of a post). Neither sets a cookie or stores an identifier, and our reading counts are kept only as daily totals per article, so both run whether or not you accept cookies.
Service Records: Notes, photos, and property details our technicians record during your visits are kept as part of your service history. While a technician is on the way to you, we show you their live location.
Mobile App: If you use our mobile app, we may send push notifications (you can turn them off in your device settings). The app accesses your camera or photos only when you choose to upload one, and optional Face ID or fingerprint login is processed on your device.
Call Recording: Phone calls with us may be recorded and transcribed. A recording disclosure plays at the start of the call. We use recordings and transcripts for service quality, scheduling, and our records.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
-
Schedule and perform pest control services.
-
Communicate regarding appointments, service updates, and billing.
-
Process payments and manage recurring billing authorizations.
-
Provide marketing communications (email and SMS) only where explicit consent has been provided.
-
Improve website performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
-
Measure our advertising and decide who sees our ads (see Section 5).
-
Review and improve the quality of our service, keep accurate records, and schedule visits, including from recorded calls.
-
Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
3. SMS and Mobile Messaging
Venice Pest Control, LLC is committed to protecting your mobile privacy.
-
Consent: We text you about service you request or have with us: appointment reminders, booking links you ask for (including when you call us asking for service), and service updates. We send promotional texts only with your explicit opt-in consent. By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive service-related notifications and promotional alerts. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts.
-
Non-Disclosure of Mobile Data: Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
-
Opt-Out: You may cancel the SMS service at any time by replying “STOP” to any message.
-
Frequency and Rates: Message frequency varies based on your service schedule. Standard message and data rates may apply.
4. Email Marketing
Our emails, both service messages (such as receipts and appointment notices) and newsletters, are sent through Twilio SendGrid and similar newsletter tools.
-
By subscribing, you consent to receive occasional promotional or informational emails.
-
Each newsletter contains a functional unsubscribe link.
-
We log whether emails are opened and links are clicked (see Section 1).
-
We do not share your email address with third parties for their independent marketing use.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We partner with trusted platforms to support our operations:
-
Stripe: Payment processing and secure card-on-file billing.
-
Twilio: SMS text notifications and automated appointment alerts.
-
Twilio SendGrid: Sending our transactional emails and newsletters, and reporting opens and clicks.
-
Cloudflare: Website security, performance optimization, and cookie-free visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
-
Amazon Web Services: Storage of files and photos.
-
Railway: Hosting for our customer portal and systems.
-
Sentry: Error monitoring.
-
Google Maps: Address checking and routing.
-
AI tools: Providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google help us process calls, texts, emails, and photos you send us, for example transcription, summaries, drafting replies, and identifying pests or plants from photos. They act as our service providers.
-
PostHog: Website analytics and session replay on our websites (including our booking, estimate, and payment pages). It loads only after you accept cookies. Replays mask everything typed into forms and all text shown on the page, and we do not use it to record what you type.
These providers process your data only as necessary to perform specific functions on our behalf and are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
-
Google (Analytics & Advertising): Website analytics (Google Analytics) plus ad conversion measurement and remarketing (Google Ads). The Google browser tags load only after you accept cookies.
-
Meta Platforms (Facebook & Instagram): The Meta Pixel measures conversions and lets us show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram (“remarketing”). The Meta Pixel loads only after you accept cookies.
Advertising and remarketing: We use Meta and Google to measure which ads bring people to us, to keep our ads from being shown to people who are already customers, and to show our ads to people who inquired but did not book. This works in two ways:
-
Browser tags. The Meta Pixel, Google Ads, and Google Analytics tags on our websites load only after you accept cookies through our cookie banner.
-
Information we send directly. Separately from your browser, our systems send Meta and Google the contact information of our customers and leads (email address, phone number, first and last name, city, state, ZIP code, country, and our customer number, converted into a scrambled code known as a SHA-256 hash before it is sent; Google receives the ZIP code and country as plain text alongside the scrambled name), along with booking and purchase events. Meta and Google compare these codes with their own users to measure ads, exclude existing customers from ads, and show ads to people who inquired but did not book. This does not depend on the cookie banner, so declining cookies does not stop it.
To opt out of this direct sharing, contact us using the details below and ask to be excluded from ad-platform matching. You can also opt out of personalized advertising through your Meta ad preferences, Google Ads Settings, or the Digital Advertising Alliance, and you can decline cookies to stop the browser tags. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Job Applicant Information
If you apply for a job with us (for example, through the application form on our careers page), we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, phone number, email address, city, and your answers to the application questions, which may include work history, availability, pay expectations, and whether you can perform the essential functions of the role (with or without reasonable accommodation). We use this information only to evaluate your application, communicate with you about it, and meet our legal obligations as a prospective employer. Software may help us organize and summarize applications, but every hiring decision is made by a person. Applicant information is never sold or used for marketing, and is retained only as long as needed for recruiting and applicable legal requirements. You may request access to or deletion of your application information using the contact details below.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill our service obligations and comply with legal requirements. Pesticide application records are kept for as long as Florida law requires, even if you ask us to delete your other data. We employ industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption and two-factor authentication (2FA), to protect your data. While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data. You may withdraw your consent for SMS or email communications at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the information provided below. To delete your account and data, contact us using those details (you can also make this request from the mobile app). We will delete what we can, but we must keep some records, such as pesticide application records, as required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Children: Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Substantive changes will be noted by a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our Services following these changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
